Insurance industry workers will this summer undertake a 300-mile cycle from London to Paris in aid of the charity Action Medical Research.
The charity has been organising fundraising cycles since 2000, but this is the first event of its kind aimed specifically at the insurance sector.
Riders will set off from the Intercontinental Hotel in Greenwich in July, before crossing the Channel from Dover and continuing across northern France.
On arrival in Paris there will be a celebration gala dinner, with Olympic cycling legend Sean Yates in attendance.
The event has been christened Raptör and will help raise vital funds for medical research.
“Not only will Raptör be a fantastic challenge for both new and experienced cyclists, but it will also offer a unique opportunity to do some networking in the saddle,” said Sarah Stevenson, senior partnerships development manager at Action Medical Research.
The event is supported by this publication and bike manufacturer Ribble.
