Lloyd’s chief of markets Patrick Tiernan has claimed 2024 will be “another year of strong growth” for the Lloyd’s market, but warned of an extremely complex risk environment for underwriters as they seek to lean into the prevailing opportunity.

In his June market message, he highlighted several areas he believed warranted additional focus, including geopolitical risks, casualty and finpro lines, and delegated underwriting.
